Senior Sustainability Consultant – Life Cycle Analyst (LCA)

We are currently looking to expand our Sustainability team with a Senior Sustainability Consultant with LCA experience to be based in our London office.

The role

Hilson Moran has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our dynamic and passionate Environmental Buildings team. This role is responsible for providing sustainable design expertise in relation to circular economy and life cycle analysis (embodied carbon assessments) for, infrastructure, new build, fit out and refurbishment projects for the public and private sector, as well contributing to as research and development. Our team of passionate, and industry leading experts is expanding as we look to help improve the built environment sector to meet our challenging carbon targets.

We provide holistic carbon reduction solutions and Hilson Moran are at the forefront of delivering low carbon buildings, providing carbon reduction advice to our clients and industry.

 

The individual

You will have a passion and experience in developing LCA strategies from the earliest stages of a project to completion, helping make a real word carbon reduction on the projects on which you work.

You will be an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in sustainability and hold basic understanding of the impacts of buildings on aspects such as climate change and Carbon reduction strategies to help meet our net zero carbon goals.

We’d like to hear from you if you have

  • Proven experience in undertaking LCAs for Senior role
  • An appropriate degree.
  • A building sustainability/materials related MSc is desirable;
  • Carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using accredited databases and tools for buildings/ infrastructure projects and knowledge of tools such as etool and/or oneclick LCA
  • An understanding and delivery of LCA reporting to the London Plan GLA standards.
  • An understanding and experience of delivering reviews and reporting against the
  • BREEAM Mat 01 standards;
  • Knowledge of the RICS methodology for embodied carbon
  • Experience in delivering Circular Economy principles and reporting is also desirable;
  • Contribute to reviewing and improving Hilson Moran’s Sustainable development framework goals as part of a wider team;
  • Help client reduce their carbon emissions and managing workload and meeting project deadlines;
  • Report writing experience and communication / data visualisation skills for clients and internal teams;
  • Undertake research and developed relating to LCA projects and apply for grants to do so.
  • Work as part of passionate sustainability specialists team.
  • Opportunities to work on wider suitability aspects of projects.
